Under a Blue Moon
Reflections on the Sagittarius Full Moon, Gemini season, and the meaning we make of ordinary life
Who am I, but a girl that writes in her journal not allowing Gemini season to get away from me.
In its honor I appreciate every interaction a bit more.
How Gemini to go to your favorite local coffee shop and ask the owner why your fav barista from afternoon shift isn’t there. How Gemini to talk with her, exchange pleasantries, and tell her how amazing the coffee is.
I wondered if I should tell her that sometimes those iced lattes hit a part of my soul and remind me that I actually do have what it takes to complete the tasks on my todo list. Do I tell her that her smiling face after a hard night brightens my day?

Gemini season reminds me to enjoy every interaction in my community and my favorite places. I fall more in love with my small town and yes I do want a gluten free sandwich from the local deli. Just so I can hear them say, “Have a nice day and thank you for stopping by.”
It’s the small conversations like seeing my next door neighbor ride his scooter down the street with the coolest mullet and smile on his face while yelling “Hi Millie!” . Later he pulls into the drive way to say to her, “I like your dress!”
She replies, “What did you say?”
He then says quickly, “When’s your birthday again?”
Everyone wants to hate on Gemini, but they forget that it’s the small conversations, being neighborly, and the curiosity to learn something new. Gemini’s collect information. It’s that social media doom scroll you pretend you never do just to be reminded that somethings happening with the moon and you think, “Ahhh that makes sense. Work has been a bit intense lately and my family is really on one.” Gemini has got to know the what & is curious about information.
The Full Moon in Sagittarius comes tomorrow morning, Sunday, May 31, at 4:45 AM EST. I noticed her glow as I stepped outside last night.
She’s on the way and she has a point to get across.
Sagittarius and Gemini are sister signs. They are opposite of each other meaning that they are fighting about the same things from two different perspectives.
Gemini wants to know what as she collects information.
Sagittarius wants to know the why about all the information collected.
Gemini notices everything.
The conversation with the barista.
The neighbor riding by on his scooter.
The iced latte that somehow tastes like inspiration & hope.
The “have a nice day” from the deli counter.
Gemini gathers it all.
Then Sagittarius comes in later and asks:
Why did that stay with me?
Why did that moment feel meaningful?
What is all of this trying to show me about my life right now?
Gemini collects the moments.
Sagittarius gives them meaning.
Sagittarius asks what you believe in. She holds perspective and represents the places in life where you’ve outgrown an old identity.
She gives meaning.
She gives permission for freedom.
The Full Moon brings emotional clarity.
She says to feel the grief and the gratitude simultaneously.
Release expectations.
Clock every realization.
Take the space you need.
Move your body in a way that feels good.
The Sagittarius Full Moon is here for truth.
She cannot pretend, and she won’t.
And she’s not here for someone else’s truth.
Not your brother’s.
Not your lover’s.
Not your mom’s.
It’s about your own.
Then at 9:20 AM, the Moon will trine Saturn in Aries. This really gives the Moon somewhere to land, grounding it all.
After that emotional peak, Saturn asks:
What is here to stay?
What is sustainable for your life?
What structure supports this new truth?
It’s ultimately about revelation and integration.
